Well whats new guys, gals I am a new member with dreams....
My first bike a beautiful '80 750c, yeah i gotta be twistwed from all u f and k peeps but I quickly rode it in to the ground...
Got a rebuilt motor for about $200 and decided to start my project, a nice cafe chop. I being 230 and 6'4" loved my small sporty cafe but wanted stretch and comfort. Any and all tips and feedback on direction of my idea and rake angles and swing arm stats are welcomed!!! I am young with a dream i like rat style stuff i have seen but basically need a few things and worried about a few issues..
1. fat rear, the stock 180 is a baby and i want 240-300 for my back end
2. Next issue swing arm got cut and stretch it...best places to cut weld? type of weld?
3. with the cafe bobber style shocks i want perhaps a hardtail?? and spring seat, Pro/cons?
4. rake.....I really like the comfort of drag bars swept back and a more rake. degrees? fork lengths or cut and adjust stock?
The side note being i half stripped my bike to get to the engine and wanna dip the frame before i remount the new motor. I feel i want to tear down the new(to me) motor since it has been sitting...but i trust its ready since it ran till it became mine.
Thanx in advance I cant wait to get pics up of the tear down, and get some photoshop pics up!!
