Newbie from Australia

Hi Everyone,

I have a CB750P, which is a k7.
This is my second honda 4 & Ive had it for about 7 years. My previous one was also a CB750P K7 & I had it for about 7 years too. They are both Australian Police bikes & the number plates are 12 numbers apart, so I look at it as though I have my first bikes sister. My first one was in OK condition & I used to ride it every day whilst I had it, & it never let me down! I sold it for some silly reason I cant remember.
I went for about five years with no bike & regularly talked to my wife about regretting selling it.
One day we were driving to the local shops & we noticed a bike on the side of the road that I thought was my old one. It wasn't but I couldn't believe that here was another one just like it. This one wasn't quite as good but it had all of the police fairings, bars etc. although it had no saddle. Fortunately it was for sale for $280, so it was a must have!
My wife bought it for me as an Easter present. I have never seen another K7 police bike, other than my two.
I need to do a full restoration on it, & I intend retaining the white frame & tank as per original. I will also stay with the twin speedo's too!
I am keen to contact anyone else with a police bike or a K7.

Cheers,
Matt.

Matt, welcome. You've got a great wife! We've got a bunch of Aussies here and a few New Zealanders here (do they count as neighbors?), so you should feel quite at home. I seem to recall that someone here from down under had restored a police bike, but then again, my head would be like a colander if it actually held onto the noodles.

Hey Matt,

I'm in Canada and have a K7 CB750P. I think from the parts book I have we have the same bike, as in, the Aus model and the Cdn model were the same spec.

Love to see photos of yours at some time. Maybe off the board. Mine is getting mated to a sidecar right now and is in the middle of a restoration too.
