The Horse magazine

I picked this magazine up the other day and just looked through it today. there, near the middle is an HD. At least the tank says so, but take another look and somethings not right. Why, that's a 4 cylinder. In fact it's a Honda motor.  I read the text and found it's a '42 Knucklehead frame with a '79 CB 650 motor in it.

Just thought I'd share.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

Imagine that, they picked the best motor Honda's SOHC4's had to offer!

Now there is a way to devalue a frame..

It was probably worth more than than the 650 was, not worth much now..

The story goes that someone bought it and wanted the motor and gave this guy the frame, bike looks good but I'd stuff the frame in my attic before hacking it up. Someone would pay a pretty penny for it somewhere.

What month was this? My curiosity has me looking at the covers of back issues. As enjoyable as that is, I can't seem to find it...

It really is kind of a travesty to chop up a classic knuck frame for a cheezy UJM motor.  Ain't too many '42 Knuckleheads around anymore, you know what I mean?

Like I said before I'd just stash it, I couldn't chop that up.
