bobber solo seat ideas needed along with pics

im gonna turn my cb650 into a bobber and i need pictures of bobber solo seats and how they are mounted to the frame if all kind of pics are good seats with springs and seats that are just mounted to the frame i need this for my bike so all pics are welcome
1974 Honda CB450 super sport (sold sniff sniff) (my first bike)

1979 Honda CB650 (we have a love hate relationship)

2008 Honda metropolitan (sold kinda miss it for the gas mileage)

look in my signature ,there's my cb650 bobber build threat...at the last few pages somewhere it shows the spring seat I'm working on........ask and I can make pictures from any angle you like.....

that would be great go ahead and get those pics. im gonna try and take my old cb650 seat thtat came with my bike when i bought it and try to shave down the foam and cut the seat pan to be a solo seat that will mount to the original mounting bracket

i used a trailer pin to hold the seat springs onto the perches.


here you can see how where i drilled the hole for the pins and how they sit in the perches


thats the clip i used to hold down the front of my seat but its going in favor of a u bracket which will makemy seat sit at a better angle.

i took this so you could see the setup for where the clip holds the front of the seat down. It allows the seatto pivot but its not really neccessary since the seat doesnt really move that much at the front

I'd like to say thanks for those pics as well..I too am looking at getting a solo seat for a 78 cb550..and am racking my brain on what the best option would be...but I'd like to mount one without springs seeing as I am keeping shocks on the bike....

heres some art ive done the peice of leather isnt complete and the shop rag was done in between cycle times thought u might like some ideas for designs or i could do something up for u pretty cheap(or anyone in need).. just the leather i have no expeirience making an actual seat... hope u like

awesome once you get the u bracket on post up a pic and a how did you bolt your tank to the frame im looking into getting a sportster tank
