Featured in Motorcycle Classics magazine. These guys go into a lot of detail (with pictures). A great reference in my opinion even when you forget which part goes where.

Yes I second this being a great article!  I actually bought my bike (CB500) around the same time they began this project, so I've been watching it closely. 
Last month I had my carbs apart but not all off the rack and in a million pieces.  I just didn't want to mess with all that.  When this article came out I read and reread it and did a complete carb teardown and rebuild using their pics for a guide.  I can't tell you how much it helped me!
I even wrote the editor an email saying how thankful I was and that I was doing carbs right when they released their carb article.  He actually wrote a nice response to me and said my letter may end up in the mag! 
That is such a great magazine and the guys who make it are really cool!

Comment 1: IMO there is no need to separate the carbs from the rack.
Comment 2: They forgot to pull out the needle jet and clean/inspect it.

My bike has the same carbs. After 33 years of use and over 130.000 kms, the only parts I had to renew were O-rings (float bowl and around the main jets). I have not yet detected any wear or damage on any jets or needles.
