Selling the Cafe XS650 :(
« on: June 18, 2009, 03:24:54 PM »
Hey Folks!

Whelp, there's a big motorcycle auction down in Columbia, TN next week and I have the opportunity to pick up a CB750 or an old Goldwing for cheap.  Gotta raise funds though, so I'm selling the old cafe beast.  Hoping to get $2500 for it, we'll see what happens.

Here she is in all her final glory:

And a quick video of a ride up the road and back :)

I'm sure you've heard it before, but that is one purdy piece of machinery you've put together there.

Sold!   ;D  ;D  ;D

Got $2,200 for it, too.  Now I can buy an early CB750 in decent shape!

That's great and sad ??? hehe. Nice bike but you'll be getting a new project. Just saw the post and didn't think it would take you very long to sell that bike. It would disappear fast a few miles away here in Nashville.

That's actually where the guy who bought it came from.

Only thing that makes me nervous is he said he's never ridden a motorcycle before  :o

Gotta start somewhere I guess....  I just hope he doesn't dump it and throw away all the effort put into it!  (But it's not mine anymore to worry about, right?  Right.  Right...)  ;D

I've always had a soft spot for those 650 Yam's, one day I'll buy an early wire wheeled model, they were a truly beautiful bike! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
