Best Fathers Day. Ever.
« on: June 22, 2009, 12:33:29 PM »
Thought I'd spend my first post thanking all of you for the education on my heavily spray painted and neglected 1973 CB500 K2 that I bought from a friend of my kid for $300. Not having much more than basic mechanical skills, but with the help of this forum, I was able to take get that basket case roadworthy and take it on it's maiden voyage yesterday riding with my two sons.

Needless to say, riding with my kids for the first time was a great way to spend Fathers Day. That is until the #2 carb started dumping gas out of the bottom and the motor wouldn't idle, and it started misfiring like crazy on acceleration...but I have several things to try and fix these problems thanks to previous posts on the forum.

Just thought I'd thank you guys for sharing your road knowledge with those of us who benefit the most from it. Hopefully we'll be able to pass something on down the line as well. Cheers!
