Yep, completely. Having said that, my big fat black cat, Chopper, will make an excellent toilet seat cover in a few years when he "leaves his mortal coil", and if I leave his head on, my wife will have a useful handle to lower the seat with!

Terry, only you would  come up with something that crazy! 

My wife has sometimes commented that we could make a "cat mohair" sweater with all the fur Snickers leaves around (we try valiantly to brush him, but it only helps a bit!).

Back to the topic though, there was another disturbing news report about a mentally ill young man who killed, skinned and dismembered about 16 cats in his neighborhood. (I forget where) In some cases he even broke into the houses to take the cats! Yet, the idiot judge ruled that he could be released and not charged, as "he was not a danger to anyone".. WTF?!?!?! Maybe not to people, but those cats would disagree... Boy was I pissed off when I read that.

There is a difference between domesticated animals and wild animals.

Cows are domestic.......leather jacket, boots, gloves, etc... oh, did I forget belts?! 

It's sick because it was done to an animal out of spite for an ex.  Not to mention killing an animal that size with a 22 pistol is cruel, as in long painful death cruel if it is not shot in a vital organ.  Since it took 10 shots, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet the person shooting the dog knew nothing about anatomy.   

I see nothing wrong with killing an animal (domestic or wild) if it is done with respect for the animal.  For those of you that don't hunt may wonder how you could kill something and showing it respect at the same time, I'll save that discussion for another day.

"Unless the domesticated animal is bread specifically for product such as steer, cow, pig, etc.  Which are killed humainly there are still people that make them "pets"  However Its against the law to maim and torture an animal PERIOD."

The difference is this animal was killed over an ex and was skinned.  If people can't tell the difference between killing an animal for product and killing a pet out of anger, I fear what this world is coming to.
