Anyone have experience with a Fernandez Sustainer?

I've not played one.  And, they seem hard to find to try out. I was thinking of getting a conversion kit to put on a guitar of mine.  Apart from the sustainer function, do the pickups sound good?  Hot, dirty, thin, fat, noisy, clear?
