very custom build

Ok, I have a Subaru EA82 motor on my floor, and potentially a Yamaha frame.  Yes, I want to combine them.  ;D  The motor is 187.4 lbs dry, ~100 hp, ~100 ft-lbs. Yes, I will need a radiator, but the big thing is a 90* gearbox so I keep the chain drive.  Any thoughts or ideas?
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

Um... it's like 4 feet wide....
You wouldn't be able to lean the bike more than 20 degrees without scraping the heads, unless you put the engine up so high that center of gravity would make the bike almost unridable at anything other than 100mph.....

I'm just sayin....
No.

Chain drive will be hard to retain.

I'd ask around to local machine shops and see if they'd be willing to mate a BMW trans to the back of your engine.

Either that or you can take an old HD 4 speed gear box and have someone make a 90 bevel drive and a custom back cover to get your sprocket out there.

Looks like you have TONS of fab coming your way.

The engine will be hard to mount but it could be done. You'll just have to give up handling like a normal streetbike. Think chopper but extremely short.

Oh I had an idea.... find a front wheel drive transmission and use that (one side only) for your sprocket final shaft. Or you could use both and have dual chains.

Might look silly but would be pretty interesting at shows.

Might be cheap to cut a Goldwing tranny & drive, worth a look.

or mount like a 750 engne and jackshaft (with covers) to a H-D 4 or 5 spd.... just some possibilities.

..I think 90 deg drives are easy to find, but one that will handle the HP & speed will be spendy....
