I'm getting more comfortable on the Firestones - just a different feel. Doesn't really encourage scraping the pegs...I think I've just really got them
worn in enought to grip & not slide. They don't wander as much as I initially thought and actually track better than I thought. About the only real
benefit, besides "looking cool" is the extra air volume - very comfy bike to ride.
Another thing you might check if you are going to run these tires is the date on them... One of the tires was 3 months old according to the date code,
and the other, which was a bit stiffer than the other had been sitting on the shelf for over a year. If I had to order again, I'd have them check and send
me the newest ones....makes them easier to get on the rim, that's for sure.
