$30,000

Haven't see this posted before and thought someone might be interested.  Good lookin' bike (or should that be in the opinion thread).

That is really cool looking but $30K? Seems a bit steep, too much for my beer budget.
Wonder how it handles with those tires and wheels? It probably won't spend much time on asphalt anyway.

With those tires it should handle like a milk truck.

Slow to respond and you have to fight it all the way.

But it wasn't built to carve corners, it was built to cruise the town.

Good going, Captain Obvious.

I dig the wheels.  Tires would be cool with a better tread design.

So does art necessarily need to be devoid of any purpose outside of itself?  Does art need to be explicitly produced to be intrinsically useless?  Or can any object be made into a work of art based on the quality of its design and execution of that design in a tangible medium?  Does all art need to be useless, and do all tools, instruments, objects, buildings, machines, etc need to be utilitarian and lack beauty?

And does the motorcycle (or any object) become a work of art simply by placing it in the context of an art and design museum?

Does everything classified as art need to be so damn expensive when compared to everyday objects?

Why not have artisitc pieces sold ad Aldi's or Dollar General?

Saw a piece of "art" that made me sick.

It was a coffee can that some d!c$ head drilled holes in and then glued a red hankey onto the side of it. That was it.

Give me a frickin brake.

I love the bike!
I don't like the solid Harley-esque wheels though... not very 'cafe' if you ask me.
The black and white photo is stunning.   :)   so is the price tag.   :P

I'd say more automobile than Harley influence.  I assume the other side is the same.  It looks to me like if you could see more of the center, it would have a baby moon hubcap.  Which goes with the tire.

anything can be art if the "artist" says it is,
i could take a sh!t on the sidewalk call it art and it would be, but that doesnt mean that its worth $30,000 and neither is that bike but it does look cool

The bike was posted a while back in the Inspiration Gallery.

Got lots of ooohs and aaaahs but everyone always had something to say about the wheels.

If nothing else it's the wheels that got us talking. And isn't that the point with an obvious item?
