Can you at least put 1 dirt track piece on it ?

Isn't form mainly following function in racing?

doesn't have so called dirt track tail piece, but still it is quite competitive

or this similar short tracker kawasaki has even original forks:

and so called motocross bars. Still it seems to perform on a short track.

I guess I should update. I went with k70's and love the way it rides. I'm still considering hooping the rear and building a seat to match, but that's it for now:

I like what you've done so far! Rear drum brake? Sweet! Do the drum breakes have performance troubles when they are wet or hot?

I heard they dont work well in those two situations, could be one of those "I heard it from a guy, who heard it from a guy....." things where they just spew what someone else said without any REAL test. Dispell or confirm please!

I've only had one issue with drum in the two years I've had it and it was due to some jerry riggin on the PO's part (weird drilled brake arm snapped and caused brake failure. Does well in the rain and heat. I haven't gotten it terrible muddy to see how that goes though.

I just bought a KZ400SE (oops honda site?!) it has front and rear drums. Thanks for dispelling the myth!

Finally had the rear hoop welded in, the cross hoop cutout, and rear fender remounted



The seat is made out of a Maple grommet board, the padding from the old seat, and the vinyl from the old seat (66 Buick Riviera seat material). Next up will probably be top end gasket replacement as I have leak at the right head. This pisses me off, as I have already had the gaskets replaced 2 years ago. =(
