Death does not garner respect for the deceased unless the deceased commanded respect in life or the manner of death itself commands respect.

I'm sorry to have to disagree with you, heffay :(

i doubt i'll be back for a while... see ya.

I'm sorry, heffay. I was speaking primarily in reference to Michael Jacksons death, and why I was not sad about it. Perhaps we are talking about different things.

I agree with Mlinder, do you respect Hitler..!!  Surely you get respect in death if you deserve it. And also Heffay, maybe you should be a little more clear before spitting the dummy...

like politics and, especially religion, death is viewed differently among us all. it is very personal and i've found that some deal with it by not dealing with it.

what i believe mj did is morally repellent but it's obvious he was a miserable human being. i wish him peace.

Heffay's constant threats to delete his account and disappear are not in my opinion the actions of a 33 year old man. Especially when he seems to get upset over things that don't personally pertain to him. I still don't get it.... ??? ???

I did not intend to offend anyone with my statement. My statement was a personal belief. It was an opening to debate the conflicting viewpoints, should they need debating. My intention, again, was not to make someone want to leave the forum.

You know, I am not a fan of Michael Jackson myself. I just think (MHPO)
that MJ reached a point in his life where he went strange on us and I (personally) don't care for his weirdness. That is sad, because, before he got older, weird and whiter, I liked the music of the Jackson Five and also, after the seperation. He DID have Talent, but seems like he got to where he needed a reality check.

Now, if that is upsetting to Hef, I'm sorry bout that. Everybody has an opinion.    OOOPs, we now have a thread for that, don't we. ::)

                                      Later on, Bill ;)

BTW, It's too bad about Jeff Goldblum.
