Front turn signal wire routing question
« on: June 25, 2009, 03:46:55 PM »
This is about a 1978 CB750K:

Do the wires from the front signals normally go down thru the center hole of the post in the fork covers and out the back through the space between the "skirt" of the front fork covers and the front forks (from there into the back of the headlight)?

Thanks.

I just overhauled the front fork seals and installed the front fork covers without having the turn signals in place. If your answer is "yes" then I'll just pull the forks out and reinsert them with the turn signals installed on the covers and the wires in place. The previous owner had the wires coming thru the slot in the turn signal posts which I don't think is right?

I'm not sure that I understand the routing you have. You may wish to download the shop manual (see the sticky topic at the top of the SOHC/4 Bikes forum). If it's the same one that I have, cable routing is shown on page 1-9.

A picture might describe your routing better.

If you buy something.........pay for it !
If you sell something .......ship it !
If you say you are going to do something......do it !
If you have a question about something......ask it !
When the seller answers ........let him know whether you still want it or not !
If you receive something .....let the seller know you got it !
If you get something and are happy/un happy with it .....let the giver/seller know !
If you have any kind of issue,shipping/receiving/quality/price/shipping charges etc !

Thanks guys,
Yes, a picture would have been a good idea, but I did put it together with the wires running through the post and it looks much better.
