Friggin paper towel tube does the dumping the oil tank trick like perfect.
But it took around a hundred messy oil changes to finally realize it ::)

Niiiiice.

I have a plastic funnel that clips under the drain screw bung.  Works a treat with a length of plastic tubing on the neck of the funnel.

+1 on the creased..
that tube, not sure how you get the plug out without hitting the tube.

creased carboard always seemed to hold itself if bent right. I aso use a cardboard piece on a slight angle and place the oil filter with housing on it to drain out.. then inspect for metals and clutch crud in the oil..

I like the elegance of recycling garbage, and it squishes and forgives just right. Being the perfect length to pour into the pan clinches it. Everybody that owns a SOHC CB750 can now save their paper towel rolls for something important.
Fanagling the drain plug at the moment of release did get my fingers a teensy-bit dirty and oily uuuuuuuuueeeeoooo!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

Darn, and to think I used to waste all those paper towel tubes back in the 70s by poking a hole in them and using them as a shotgun tube  ;D

Great idea.
