Stu,
Welcome from Jim in Camberley Surrey. Where are you in Dorset? Trying to get a list of all UK guys so we can sort out a ride sometime.
Cheers,
Jim.

Hello mate.

We'll definitely have to talk.  I've always owned SOHC Fours but in 1979 I really, really (really) wanted a CB900FZ.  The Stealer wanted £1000 PLUS my 500/4 (and I was a student)

Now I keep my eyes open for a good example and might even swap my lovely 550K3. I would never get rid of my 500 though  ;D

What do you think of the DOHC?  We're not stuck up #$%*s proud here and chat about all types of bikes.

I'm 10 miles from Jim.

Stu,
Nice area for riding, I really like Poole.
I don't know about alternator rebuilds, I did search and couldn't find anything. I am not a techy(unfortunately), but if you post a new topic in the tech area you will get lots of responses!
What bike do you have, I assume it is a DOHC?
Also, is this what you need, they are available on ebay for 30 quid.
Jim.
