Float weight and floats wanted for 350f
« on: June 25, 2009, 08:03:50 PM »
Does anyone know what the weight of a new 350f float should be.  Does anyone have a NOS  float they could weigh and post on here?

Does anyone have 4 new floats they would like to sell  part #  16013-333-004  ??

I know they are still available but are very pricey

I'm just curious...

Why do you need to know the weight?

I suspect that after almost 40 years that they are "getting heavy" meaning they may have absorbed some fuel over the years.  Why else when you set them to factory spec of 21 mm  would fuel run right through them. I just want rule these out as the problem.

If thats the case...

Take a tube and attach it to the bottom of the carb and lift it over the top of the carb and over the top of the gas tank.

Then turn on the gas and see how high it goes.

If it goes higher than the carb the floats are bad.
