Billy Mays too?
« on: June 28, 2009, 12:14:31 PM »
It's true, Billy Mays of Oxy-Clean fame has passed at the age of 50.   His wife found him unresponsive in his Tampa home this morning at 7:45 am.

Ed, Farrah, Michael, and now Billy?   The Celebrity Deathwatch site must be going nuts.

At least now I won't have to mute my TV when those damn infomercials come on at their full volume.

Yeah, I put up a post about him too.

I found his commercials annoying, but that's what they paid him to do. This may sound odd, but I'm kinda glad I got to see another side of him in the TV show "Pitchmen"... I mean, to see he wasn't like that all the time in real life.

Billy Mays is no Ron Popiel and there's no way he's in the same league with Farah, Michael and Ed, or even David for that matter. His success was based on two things-- a loud mouth and having no shame. But he did hit the big time doing commercials after giving up his career as a plumber in Queens or Brooklyn.
