How to remove stock 4 into 4 exhaust pipes?
« on: July 06, 2009, 10:03:28 PM »
Hi All,

I have 1972 CB750K2 with 4 into 4 stock exhaust system.  Can some please tell me how to remove the exhaust system? There is bit of rust in the pipes and I want clean them and reassemble.

Thanks a lot,
CoolGoose.

Remove the clamps (flowers) on the front of the engine.  Remove the rear footpeg bolts that go through both pipes on either side.  The pipes should then need to come forward a bit to clear the "spout" on the front of the engine.

Then, ship pipes to me.

So I don't have to remove the flange. Just the joints (flowers) and foot peg bolt on either side. Will give it a try.

Thanks for the info!

If they have been on there a while don't expect them to pop right off.  You will probably have to do some wiggle and jiggle to get them off.  Be sure to have the front flanges (flowers) very loose.
