Finished 82 CB650 cafe racer (Lots of Pics)
« on: June 26, 2009, 02:36:18 PM »
Ok, so this is my completed 1982 Honda CB650C cafe racer. Sorry I didn't make a thread but I am a student and this project has taken me 2 summers to finish with no spare time to take enough pics.

Everything including paint was done by me minus the upholstery.

Tank is off an older Kawasaki modified to fit
Seat is Fiberglass with stock battery underneath
Pods are K&N
clubmans
Metallic Black Paint

I hope you like it as much as I do.

Any engine work other than the aftermarket air filters?

What size tire/rim do you have on the back?

Looks very nice and proper, but I would very much recommend fork brace, it is likely to make noticeable improvement in handling.

Looks good.

I see that you've got those K&N Oval Air Filters (1 filter for 2 carbs).  How was the fit?  I always had issues with the cone filters hitting the frame and I wondered about those oval ones.

Cheers, Joe

Cool mods, looks like you could do with a trail bike with all that farm scenery. :D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Yahhh I want to make one, or else put the front fender on, but either way I'm planning on doing something about that

Yah those are the only filters K&M say will fit, and they do fit, although very very tightly. The chrome plates do rub against the frame, but they are dead sexy IMO 8)
