BMW and others make tubeless spokes stock though.

They're designed for tubeless tires.  Ours aren't.

IMO if its a spoked rim going tubeless is asking for trouble.
My comment was in reply to this. No attack, just saying there are spoked rims for tubeless apps. Thats all.

you know what I meant  ::)  the few spoke wheels on the market designed for tubeless tires are few.  I meant If its a spoke rim designed for a tube its asking for trouble if you try to convert it to not run a tube.

That is an inconceivably egregious transgression against my rudimentary concordance of socially shunned individuals.

not disagreeing, I just wonder how much of a risk it really is. I mean no one here as really tried it and pushed it to see how far it goes. I certainly do not blame them though. I wouldn't either. Thats why I said I think lacing a tubeless rim to the hub is the best way to go.
I merely showed that link to illustrate that people are working to find way around the issue. After all, there are a lot of pro to tubeless tires, more than there are cons I feel.

We've seen plenty of wheel swaps form other bikes onto the Honda Fours, who's going to be the one to swap on the hubs and wheels from one of those 'tuebless by design' Ducatis or BMW's?  Sounds like a cool project to me, and it beats literally reinventing the wheel.

Does anyone know what year and model BMW's and Ducati's had the tubeless spoke wheels? Any other bikes out on the market?

From reading ADV Rider it seams KTM made some.
I  have heard of some people using  tubeless tires with  tubes.
This might be a simple compromise considering the cost of a tubeless spoked rim. Frankly getting a modern radial on the bike would make me happy, tubed or tubeless.
I had a flat on the 5 in Washington while going to work. I rode 10 miles on my radial not knowing it was flat. Those things have awesome sidewall strength. A flat on a bias ply tire makes the bike flop around.

I thought of another thing. I wonder if most modern spoked rims have the bead for mounting tires. It seems that a lot of people are just sealing their rims and thats it. So it might stand to reason that newer bikes have better rims with the bead. if so, then sealing would be all that is needed. After all, the main hangup people have is the lack of a bead on our rims. So a rim swap would still be needed but a person would not have to go with the goofy bmw rims.

Im going with a wider rim front and back and decided to do a search for tubeless rims and found a few companies that offer them. Not sure what the pricing is going to be...but have a feeling its going to be pretty costly...but figure I ask anyways.

Im just curious if I was to work with one of them and see if they would be willing to do like a group buy or something on tubeless rims who would actually be interested in them?

I'm pretty sure most of us here are running tubeless tires with tubes in them.  Considering the limited availability of tube-type tires for street use, they're the easiest to get and have the most options.

Cancel that....the places I found that I talked too stated its a process they do. Not a tubeless rim which they stated on there sites. Its basically like the other places adding a sealant after truing the wheel, etc.

Oh well!
