You know, I really thought I knew this bunch and how much support and such that I would get (and I was really good with that. But you all are responding in a way that I hadn't anticipating and I'm gonna be  :'( :'( if I'm not watching it. :( I just don't see how a person could leave, with this kind of feeling and support that I have gotten. ???

As posts were being made on the thread about my Dad, the one about Paul's Sister, the one about Jay's Daughter Bre and the one about Mark (mlinder's accident) among others, Brenda was set back at the support, concern and Prayers that was offered. If only she was here to see the response for Her, Karla and myself, she REALLY WOULD be set back! I just can't find the words that fully express my gratitude. Well, it's about 11:38PM here and I really should try to get some sleep. my Daughter, Karla has gone to bed and if I don't at least try, she'll have my hide (she's her Mother's Daughter!)

           You all are simply AWESOME!!!!!!

                                  Thank You!

Thank you ALL. I would like to acknowledge each and every post, but I just simply don't have the time and I am using up Kleenex by the boxes. :'(

I'm just not handling this very well, I'm used to trying to be there for others and being in this position myself is really hard to handle. :'(

I'm really trying to keep it together for my Daughter and Sarah (my Daughter's worker, who is like another Daughter herself)

I keep checking in her as I can, so I can keep up with all the responses and all, because I want everyone of you to know how very much I care about you all AND this place.

It's really ironic to me how Karla (my Daughter) is holding up, trying to help me, in this time. That has to be God's work. Now, a little later down the road, she'll have a problem with it, but for now, she's my rock.

                          I STILL just can't believe it! :'(

When I went to post this, I found that James (droopy) had posted.

I am so sorry for your loss bill
i just don't know what 2 say I'm still in shock

                              Me too James, me too.

                                  thank you

Bill, I don't know if this will help, but this is on my heart this morning. Because these difficulties and this tragedy have been ordained, it also means that God has ordained that you can fully have the strength to make it through. He has promised to carry you.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you."    [Isaiah 42:3]

Be strong. You are loved.

Well Bill it's 1am here in New Zealand and no matter how much I tried to sleep your story of meeting Brenda just wouldn't get out of my head and I'm more used to writing cords for my guitar than prose but this popped into my head, I hope you don't mind.

Life-partner I'll miss you, we shared so much life
for a Life-partner is always much more than a wife

I know I'll look for you daily, any hint any trace
to see just once more that gentle smile on your face

And it may be years before we meet again
Till then every sweet memory will be tinged with pain

But life-partners know that those brought together by fate
will be reunited again no matter the wait

So I'll struggle on gamely, you wait and see
I know you'll be keeping a close watch on me. :)

I have experienced death many times in my short life, and one poem has always comforted me. I hope it brings you some of the same comfort it gave me when life was darkest for me:

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
