Gurus Wanted!
« on: April 18, 2005, 06:31:31 PM »
Desperately in need of a kind soul who can baby-step a rookie through getting his electrical system back up. Sob story: have a '72 CB750 I bought about 3 years ago. A year ago I began having compession problems and did a partial rebuild of the engine (i.e. rings and gaskets). Six months ago I finished the engine and decided to rewire the whole bike as many components (blinkers!) not wired in. HUGE MISTAKE: mysterious voltage drops, shorts, etc.. So, picked up 1, then a second, than a third wiring harness on eBay and still no luck. I get half the bike lit up and the enigne won't start. I get the engine started and the headlights die out, etc., etc., etc.. Washed my hands of the whole project over the winter but it's too beautiful here to leave the old girl to rot. Sympathetic souls can e-mail me at bkalasin@hotmail.com. Appreciate ANY help out there.

Also try this link on this forum, the first diagram listed should suffice for you K2 and it is quite detailed if you want to trouble shoot your work. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
