CB750K0 will another gear lever fit
« on: July 04, 2009, 04:23:35 AM »
MY CB750 K0 gear lever is badly twisted. Is there another Honda gear lever which looks the same and will fit the splines? i.e 500/4 550/4

Why not just get another one off a 750?

Agreed...I see them on eBay alot.  Compare the 550 & 750 part numbers and maybe you can tell if they are interchangeable.  Or put a "wanted" ad in the forum post area.

Aren't shifter splines universal?  There was a post recently where someone had put an aftermarket folding dirtbike shifter on his wife's bike because it was a little shorter and fit her foot position better...

I think any shifter will do the job.

Splines are not universal, but a replacement 750 shifter should be easy to find.

Splines are not universal, but lots of different Hondas use shift levers with the same splines.  No Harley levers will fit.  Do some google searches, sellers often include interchange information in their listings.

If shifter splines were 'universal', they would ::)
