just running around town i wear a puddin' bowl helmet as i'm pretty claustorphobic and a full face makes me a bit jumpy. on interstate trips i wear a full face. need one that fits me better though. i have a size 8 1/2 head

Illinois has No helmet law, but I still wear one regardless.  Besides, it cuts down the wind noise and the bugs up the nose :P  I think I can count on one hand the number of times in 30+years of riding that I have been on the road without one.

I'm also in IL. Used to not wear a helmet when testing bikes but after I got creamed at a stop light I decided that I'll wear a full face all the time thank you.

I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my gear. And my 400+lb bike that got in between us. :D

Started riding before helmet laws in B.C., California and Ontario wore a helmet most of the time in all of those places, the only time I don't want or use a helmet is when I'm doing low speed stuff in a mud hole or bush trail, interferes with balance and sensory inputs.

Cinci ohio... no helmet law you are required to wear eye protection.  I wear a full face DOT and SNELL approved helmet.

That is an inconceivably egregious transgression against my rudimentary concordance of socially shunned individuals.

Indiana, laws previously stated.

I always wear a full face helmet.  Nothing like a June bug to the face mask at 75mpg to remind you that it serves two purposes  ;)

Full helmet laws here in TN and I would wear one anyway. I like my head how it is and I don't need any head mods.

Colorado. I must admit, I do not always wear a helmet when ride in town. On the Hiway I wear one because I don't have a windshield, and I do not trust  Cell phone users and texters to be aware of my presence on the road.  I'm like the other guy wo said he likes the way is head is now, without mods.  My head is not the most handsome I've ever seen,  but it houses my brain just fine.

In the UK a helmet is mandatory and it must conform to the relevant EU standard. A visor is not mandatory, but if one is fitted then it too must conform to the relevant European standard.

In the winter a friend dropped his CB500 at walking pace in the ice as he was coming out of work. He head butted the kerb. Even with a helmet he still had to have his forehead reconstructed.

Just goes to show, it doesn't take much ???

we call that a cyclelobotomy..... If my lovely face had taken the punishment that my helmet took in the accident, I would never look in the mirror again.

No helmet required in Florida, and I don't wear one most of the time. When I'm on the Ducati on the interstate though I do. If nothing else because the wind noise is so bothersome without one. But when I'm putting around on my classics I go without and takes my chances.

I'm in New Brunswick Canada

Helmets required by law in all of Canada

Wear a half helmet with face mask and ballistic goggles all the time with the exception of bike rallies. normally once you are within the event grounds they are not required. Occasionally wear a full face for long trips but I don't like the loss of visibility and I feel like I lose some of awareness of what is going on around me. Earplugs solve the wind noise issue.

Used to look forward to going somewhere without a helmet law but after my crash, helmets on!!

My sons often travel with me and I insist on them wearing a full face. If they want to wear a half helmet they can do it when they are 18 and it is not my decision anymore
If ever there was a creator of bastard sons, it is the open road, for she has claimed so many young men yearning for freedom......

Kansas no helmet law. I wear a full-face 99% of the time, though.

Sometimes I'll wear my skateboarding helmet if I am just going down the road. Honestly, I don't know how people ride without a facemask or goggles. If I don't have my facemask, my eyes water like I'd just watched Old Yellar. Even with sunglasses, the wind gets right behind them.

I nearly always have my shield flipped down. Father's day, on an entrance ramp to the interstate, JUST as I was going to reach to close the shield, got hit in the lower eyelid by what looked like a bumble bee. Still don't know what it was, but damn did it hurt. About 70 mph. Sounded like I got socked in the eye. As mentioned, helmet required in Mo.
