ordering woes from cyclex
« on: July 04, 2009, 08:46:22 AM »
Has anyone ever encountered problems ordering from cyclex? I ordered some parts last wednesday and was told they would ship out the next day, thursday june 25th. I should have received the parts by the 30th according to ups's website but still have not gotten them. I tried calling and was told to call back because sue(?) was not working that day and the guy couldnt get into her computer to check? Im not sure what else to do, but if I dont receive them monday, I will be calling my bank to dispute the charge and get my money back. Anyone else ever ran into problems?

you should probably give it just a little more time. sometimes ups isn't always on top of things either. if ups is telling you it was suppossed to be there on the 30th that mean they actually had it in their hands... so CycleX sent it out. it's just having trouble finding you.

patience... is key.

So you're saying that UPS says they were picked up and are with UPS for delivery?
Ken (cyclex) has no control over how long it takes UPS to get them to your door once they leave his shop.

If I'm misunderstanding, my apologies, but like I said, if UPS has em, it's UPS, not CycleX.
No.

CycleX rocks. I ordered from them for the first time a week ago and they shipped out the parts the same day payment was sent. Got the parts three days later. They used USPS for me.

Some time ago ordered the 850 kit, paid and they send it immediately over to the Netherlands. They are good trustworthy people, in my opinion.

UPS has dropped the ball for me more times than I can count, if you have the tracking number, look up a phone number for your local UPS depot, they may be able to clerify their issue.

Once I had some parts ordered, and the UPS site said they were undeliverable... someone was home all week, the lazy bastard driver just couldn't seem to realize that our house was on a corner lot, and we were regularly using the side door.  The USPS carriers all understood, but this one UPS driver was just in too big of a hurry to deal with it.

After a few calls, the driver came out with the package on his own time and offered a personal apology.  Nice.

No, I ordered over the phone and was not given a tracking number. I was told they would ship the next day(last week thursday june 25th) According to the ups website transit time estimate, they should have been here the 30th if they were shipped out when they said. When I called the first time, the man said they were closing and the computers were off. When I called the next day looking for sue(was told she handles the shipping) I was told she was out due to not feeling well(got a story of cancer or something) and he couldnt look up my order? Im not real worried about it, its just kind of annoying waiting for something that should have been here 3 or 4 days ago. Im going to call on monday and see if sue is in and if she can track my package if its still not here

I've ordered from Ken,Cyclex several time now, and have had nothing but great service and parts. They can be hard to get ahold of sometimes and may take a day or to to ship out, but well worth the wait, good people

Sometimes UPS will get the shipping info right away, but it takes a day or two before they pick it up.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

Be patient man.  I have had nothing but good experiences with Ken and Cycle X.  I can say with certainty that Ken is holding up his end of the deal!

Yea dude... keep your pants on....all should be well. Ya can't really call them "woes" ifs its not even two weeks yet...
I've got stuff from them and never had any issues. You just need to be a bit more patient. Things happen. You called on a thursday and chances are it didn't get processed until friday which means it probably didn't ship until monday and depending on where you're at and with the holiday....

I bet you get your stuff this week!

No, I called on wednesday june 24th and was told they would go out the next day which was thursday the 25th. There is no holiday that weekend. Even if they got processed thursday and shipped friday, i still should have recieved the parts already

If they told you the woman that handles it is out sick, I would trust them. I've never had any problems through Cyclex. I'd say chill out and wait for your parts. Todays instant gratification society really annoys me sometimes  ::)

I know we live in the "click on the internet and it's here tomorrow" age, but sometimes if you want good parts you have to step outside of that for a minute and be patient. They are a mom and pop operation, and there are some health problems involved. Ken has sent me small things free of charge before, and even if it took a while to get a hold of anyone there, i'd still rather buy from a shop like theirs that is still making some cool #$%* for these old machines than buy from some walmart type operation.

I am far from one of those you speak of, BUT do expect things to be done when they say they will. Thats not too much to ask IMO. My major concern is why its taking more than a week after quoted shipping date to get here when its 4-5 days max according to UPS. Im also a little PO'd that I am not able to get a straight answer from this place as to the status of my order. I understand people forget or signals get crossed but I didnt expect to wait this long

I have to agree with everyone, just give it a little more time.  I ordered from them not to long ago and had great service from them.  It's probably UPS at fault, they've done it to me a few times as well.

I would double check your address since you did it over the phone. It could be that they heard you wrong. Although, I'd put my $$ on UPS being late. We've gotten great results from cyclex in the past.

I've seen a lot of complaints about cyclex delivery delays on here.  Just thought I'd throw them a bone.

Ordered my 4-2-1 exhaust through their ebay store and it came quite promptly! kudos ;)

I'm going to go along with the crowd here. I ordered items from Cyclex before, and received them promptly without problems. I even BS'ed on the phone with Ken for a few, he's good people. Not too many places around these days that want to talk to you beyond making the sale, so that stuck with me as a really positive experience. I also know that family health issues can definately push things to the back burner, no matter how important they are under normal circumstances.

I've experienced UPS crushing packages, delivering to the wrong address or even shipping back to the sender.   >:(
I would try and at least get a tracking number to figure out if UPS has it stuck under a conveyor belt at a depot somewhere.

Has learned so far that..."complete" gaskets are never complete no matter where you get them, VHT Silver Case Paint is just as durable as painting your motor with chalk and cheap tire irons used with rim protectors are useless on 30 year old tires.

Ken and Sue at Cycle X aren't in the business of pulling the wool over people's eyes.
Had a lot of parts sent to Australia without a problem.
Sometimes there is a short delay in transit. (Customs etc)
Their feedback on Ebay says it all.
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.
