Not really abandoned, but a great junkyard near Brodhead, WI.  Several hundred, if not over a thousand rusting jap bikes in fields, barns and such.  Wish I'd gotten a better pic of that instead of the missus.

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

City Methodist church, downtown Gary, IN.  This building has been photographed a ton, but its still a fascinating space.  Me and an ex used to drive down quite a bit to shoot stuff.

Haven't visited this thread in a while. I think this was also used as a scene in the series "Life After People."

Office entry to the original Grace Bible Church office. The building dates from 1882 and is located in downtown Ann Arbor. The church relocated to the west side of town in a new building and this remained empty and abandoned for many years until the mid-80's (that's when I took this pic.) A local Arch. firm bought the building and completely refurbished for their offices. During the gutting, they found an original Tiffany stained glass window in one of the walls.

The Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad freight depot in Clinton Indiana. The concrete wall to the right in the second picture is where the freight cars would line up with the building to be loaded & un-loaded.(Another victim of arson).

Old 'Whipple Through Truss' bridge crossing the Big Racoon Creek. Built by the Wrought Iron Bridge Co. from Canton, Ohio. Built in 1892, in use till 1991. Located outside Bridgeton, Indiana. (Newer bypass bridge can be seen next to old bridge)

Believe it or not that old car/train thing you are pictured sitting in is a restorable object worth a few $$$ if you hauled it out of there.

Holy smokes, you are correct.  Two out of the three times we went, we met other photogs.  It really must one of the most photographed "ruins" in the midwest, not counting the RR depot in Detroit.

That is an impressive old mansion Industrial C, must have cost a fortune in the old days just to build it, you wonder why such a magnificent place would be abandoned.
The gas station fellah was probably named Freddy Bates, lesser known brother of Norman. ;D
