It is (usually) the last stop before the wreckers, but they are available for purchase if you want to buy one. There are a lot of Navy ships but there are many civilian ships too, tankers, passenger ships, etc. Got in trouble for going there once when I was a student at the Ca Maritime Academy..the place is patrolled by the Navy and they don't like you going on those ships without permission. Apparently, being a student at CMA doesn't "automatically" give you permission. Guys with guns showed up and said "Git the hell outta here now and we won't call the school..." we left quickly rowing our 26ft whale boat as fast as we could..... Good place for fishing tho..lotta algae on the bottom of a ship that has sat for 40 or 50 yrs...

Needs pods, a set of drop bars, some Napoleon mirrors and it would be like new! ;D
Obviously they don't have the GREENIE groups over in Scotland that howl about contamination and pollution.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I've got Forbes in my family, maybe I should put in an historic claim for some ancestral land back?
Cool photos srust58.

Look into it Hush.  Check out the Forbes Clan history.  It seems they and the Gordons did not get along.  The beautiful Craigievar Castle is an ancient seat of the Forbes (now in the care Historic Scotland) and is said to be haunted by a member of the Gordon Clan who was murdered there.  Forbes Castle near Alford built in 1815 is still in the family and  maybe they would put you up for a night or two if you came for a visit.  Another Forbes, the Baron of Monymusk, lives in New Zealand so you might look him up on one of your rides. :)  I think Malcomb Forbes fits in there somewhere too.

These pictures are great. I'm doing a european trip this summer for the second time. I keep putting off ireland and scotland. Next time they get their own couple of months. You just don't see things like this anywhere else.

Just imagine how the people lived back in those days, hard life (no CB750's) ;D
I'd love to run a metal detector around some of those sites, gotta be the odd coin or rusty blade lying under the grass.

Nothing really left inside, guess Angie took everything.   Taylor made me laugh when he said, "Dude, I wonder how many chicks got pregnant in here!"  At that, we decided to check upstairs...

All we found was a dead raccon and a hell of a lot of poop :o...There was a basement too but after the dead coon and the poop we were kinda grossed out...We were on our way to a traditional hot rod show, and later guys were kickin' us for not grabbin' that coon tail for someone's antennae...and finally, the well out back...
