Sunday and Monday, i went to Moscow andcLweiston then back..
Lots of abandoned on the way......but.....I figured Greg covered most of the area.

Greg if you see this , have you taken 61 thru Starbuck, under the Joso trestle, on the way to Palouse falls ? Nice area..

For you railfans, Joso Trestle is 3900 feet long !! 260 feet high , and goes over the Snake river... Which has shipping traffic! There is als a Little Goose Lock nearby..about 16 miles from Joso/ Lyons ferry..

You ever been to Ocean Falls?  I heard good stories about that place.

The only place I have been in Canada is Lake Tatsamenie, BC.  I worked with guys from Kamloops.  I guess we actually landed to refuel and I sat by the river while they did surveys in the helicopter.  They would fly 55 gallon barrels on the otter and leave a cash for the helicopter.  Fun watching them unload, ramping it into the drink and then rolling it up the shore.

Today I bravely braved the storms we're having here and did a little over 200 miles on the BM. I put my wet weather jacket on, but left the wet weather pants in the top box, and headed off to Cooma, up in the hills, for lunch. It's only 80 miles or so from here, but I made a few detours up some dirt roads I'd spotted from the Monaro Highway, and had a ball blasting on the dirt.

I came across this old deserted farmhouse, I'm guessing that it's as much as a couple of hundred years old, from the side you can see the original building, then the bigger house built on to it at a later date. Can you see the face in the window? I wasn't game to go inside, 1. because I was trespassing, and 2. I've watched too many American paranormal shows and the last thing I wanted to do is bring some freeloading ghost home with me............. I love the letter box, if I had the time (or the balls) I would have souvenired it! Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Oh no, this was always my favourite thread! Where is everyone?
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Hush,  We've not met, but you must be honored that this is now resurrected just for you.  Now if I can get a pic with the bike of the burned out building on the end of the Seal Beach Pier - it's recent, but sure as hell abandoned.

I have neglected this thread, which is actually my favorite.

I was in the Black Dirt Region of Orange County NY. I stopped to get some shots of this field and the old VW Beetle. This is a hardcore farming area. I am taking some shots of the field and I hear a Diesel pickup truck stop at the end of a driveway. I hear the guy yell "hey" and I turn around and smile.

"What are you doing he says"
I put my hand behind my ear and say, "I'm doing great, how you doing". He yells louder I said "What are you doing".   I point to the camera and say "Taking pictures, pretty area here". On the side of hos truck it says Incabod Crane. "Hey my friend's wife works at that Cemetery, I can get you a tour if you get on the other side of the river." "I'd love to talk to you more, but I gotta take these pictures." He shakes his head and drives away.

I tell the wife, let's go before that #$%* kicker figures out what just happened.

Bobby, your photo caught my eye, so I hope you don't mind if I dinked with it a little.  The detail pops out pretty well when you click on it and expand it.

Actually I cropped it out: here is the original image. You will see a creepy masked vulture on the roof.

This is another "home" from the Black Dirt region. I think it may have been housing for the migrant workers that come to work in the fields.

That is ironic! Actually I was thinking of the guy who used to be in all the Marlboro adverts, who died of lung cancer. I tried to google him, but it turns out that several "Marlboro Men" have died of lung cancer, so I'm none the wiser...... ;D

This is an old church in Flora Oregon, we went through this town on vacation a few years back. You really cant tell in the photo, but it leans about 5* to the right...it might have fallen down by now.

This was behind the church
