Does anyone have these Denis Kirk case guards?
« on: July 04, 2009, 09:27:36 PM »

I'm wondering how they fit and/or look on a 750k

I'm looking for the smaller style guards that fit right over the points & stator covers - not the big, 70's style mondo highway bars that go across the entire front of the frame.

Thanks

Those are close to what I have and I really like them compared to the huge ones. It makes the bike look racier in comparison. You can add a highway peg to them too.

You can also look on ebay using "case savers", "case guards" or "crash bars" as your search. That's how I found mine for the 650, they weren't under "engine guards" at all. You should find a lot more than I did since the 750 was so much more popular than the 650.

Good luck.  :)

Yeah, never heard of them referred to as Case Guards, but rather, crash bars or highway bars. Most of those bars not only save your engine, but your tank and handlebars, ect since the bike will lay over at a certain angle.

The MC Enterprises 2-point case guards won't offer much protection really, they will bend if you drop the bike and still allow your engine to become damaged.

If you want anything other than a place to mount highway pegs, you'll need 3-point guards.

My CB500 came with the 3 point guards which are similar. I added the footrest pads later and they help a little with achy knees.  Not many places to mount the pads though on the 3 point version since something just seems to be in the way where I want them.

don't know which scooter you have but my k0 won't take a 3-point guard. I put on the 2-point mc enterprise 2-pointer. I'm not totally in love with 'em but they're OK and I think they would take a drop alright but not a moving crash.

Unfortunately, MC Enterprises stopped making the 3-point guards for CB750s some years ago.  Keep your eyes on eBay for a used set maybe.

I have the big highway bars for my 550 that I took off a couple of years ago and have always wanted some of the small ones for my 550.  I don't know if they make any to fit the 550 K though.
