People Can Be SO Stupid!
« on: August 10, 2009, 07:36:00 PM »

To start off with, my Daughter (Karla) won a dinner for 2 at our favorite Mexican food restaurant last evening, off of the 50's  & 60's radio station that we listen to. We went and picked up the certificate today and were going to the place to use it tonight. Well, on the way, we were approaching an intersection with a pickup setting there and, just as we were right at the intersection, he pulled out right in front of us! >:( ::)  Of course I hit the brakes and, all I can say is, THANK GOD that my Grand Caravan has ANTI SKID BRAKES!!!!!! The front end of my van was pointed right at the driver's door (and the driver!) of that pickup! Should have seen the look on his face! ::) I was about 2' from his door, when I stopped, it WAS that close!! He sure took off!!! If I hadn't of had the Anti-Skid System, my van would have gone right into the door AND him, as well. What an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:( I'm glad no one was hurt though. BTW, there was no one behind me for a ways!

Sheesh...  At least you had a high pucker factor experience to get you ready for the Mexican food, right?   ;D

You were probably lucky that "incident" happened before you got a belly full of sloppy, spicy Mexican tucker Bill, otherwise you'd have probably wished Karla won a drycleaning voucher! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

You 2 probably make some good points. ;D  i DO HOPE, however, that his "Close Encounter" of OUR kind, will have him doing a bit of thinking before pulling THAT stunt again AND with someone else. ;)

Hey Bill, is the GPZ in your Avatar pic yours? Nice bike mate, I nearly bought a GPZ1100 many years ago, they were wickedly fast, but easy to ride at legal speeds, unlike the modern crop of sportsbikes that you can't enjoy unless you're doing twice the legal speed limit! ;D
