77 CB550 Cafe

Howdy-

Well after 6 months of slaving away in the garage (blissfully) I have rebuilt my 77 CB 550.  It started as a frame, a title and an engine.  This was something that was never going to see the road again without my help.

I decided to do a steampunk cafe conversion without really feeling bad about the look of stock since i was saving her life anyway.  Relocated battery box, new seat, signals, bars, mirrors, etc.  (Adding lots of copper) Took the thing down to bare frame and back up. Never rebuilt a bike, but i have done cars, so it turns out that bikes are a lot easier. Anyways, it runs, idles and moves now.

This is my first bike and i am glad that I know every nut and bolt on there.  Without this forum i think i would have gone insane.  Thanks for all the help!

Oh yea!  I will, all in good time.

Right now all I want to do is finish her up.  I even told the girl that we were temporarily broken up until i get it on the road!  It'll be original looking, and the goal was to keep it under a grand.  I think i am almost hitting that mark, but with some diligence it will be close.

Also, I hate e-bay.
