Brake Bleeder
« on: July 05, 2009, 02:52:10 PM »
Does anyone know who sells new bleeder screws for our bikes?  My build is coming to an end quickly and this is a part I'm having some trouble finding.  All the parts stores seem to have it is either a M10X1.0 or 1.5.  Our calipers are M10X1.25.  So if anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I bought one for my CB350F from my local Honda dealer a few weeks ago.

Thanks Tom,  a buddy contacted our local dealer and all they could tell him was that the bleeder has been obsoleted, and was no longer available.  However I had some luck getting a bleeder out of one of the old calipers I have sitting around so I think I'm ok now, but eventualy I would like to get a new one.

Trav,

Check the brake FAQ.  There is a cross reference in the listing the SpeedBleeder part number for each bike.  SpeedBleeders are actually one-way valves.  Not only will you have a new bleeder, you'll also have the ability to bleed without having to do the normal open-squeeze-hold-close-release-repeat process.  You can just squeeze-release-squeeze-release- top off master-squeeze...
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.
