76 cb550f carb missing the jet retainer

PO had the carbs rebuilt 11 years ago, but when i popped em open the springs are missing. i have 2 spares from a parts bucket but i can't for the life of me track down anymore. The rebuild has come to a grinding halt. any info?

Buy another one from honda or get a spare set of carbs from ebay.
Better yet somjeone else here may have an extra springs that they can give or sell you..

I made one from sheet brass I got at a hobby shop, not a terribly hard job and although not as springy as the OEM steel ones it holds the jet in OK. Assuming the jets didn't fall out of yours, the spring is just a bit of belt + suspenders insurance anyway?

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

can't figure out the exact name or part # to order. i was thinking about sending it to a fab shop to have them dup a few
