Welll, you'd probably have to up your compression and get real, real good spark, and beware of ethanol's detergent properties.

Fail that, drink a whole bunch, sit on your bike and prepare to fly. :D

Hey Porscheguy, what metal is your beer keg made of?
I'm really curious about making some brandy myself.

All modern beer kegs are stainless steel.
I removed the tap rod and welded a threaded 2" attachment on so I coud use different
attachments. On one boiler keg I pounded the bottom in (concave) to retain more heat from the burner to get faster boils.

I thought the whiskey tax and rebellion was of Washington's time?

that was early on, Thomas Jefferson repealed the tax as an affront to the genius and freedom of men.
Lincoln reinstated it in 1862 to pay for his invasion.

Don't forget about that wonderful Fed income tax that never went away after the war...

I respect Jefferson the more I learn about him- truly a great, great man.

Failing time to whip up a batch of my own, I sampled a few store bought Corn Whiskeys this week in Atlantic City.

It was nice. I had my usual Makers Mark, tried some Green Label Jack, lost more money, so I had some Woodford. I do not care for Knob Creek. I like a nice wheat and corn mash. Evan Williams is very nice and the price is amazingly low for the quality.
I picked up a taste for American Whiskey in the Nam, my left seat was a Tennessee boy with connections, so we had an ample supply. Sometimes he could score some homemade - instant Karma  ;D
