Need a CB550 cam chain master link!?!
« on: July 08, 2009, 02:35:10 PM »
Do they make a CB550 cam chain with a soft link in it? I'm about to pull the rocker box to do my 650 cam swap and want to replace the chain while I'm in there.

My slipper was destroyed and I think the chain probably took a beating.

* I changed the title, I guess I have to use an OEM chain and find a master link. Anyone know where I can buy a link by itselt that will fit these chains?

Oh, so I'll need to split an endless chain?

I guess I could get a 30$ replacement chain, but where can I pick up the link? I did a search, there seems to be aftermarket support for the 400, but no masterlinks for the 550 (that I could find).
