What childish thing do you do on your bike?
« on: July 08, 2009, 08:09:10 PM »
Confession time:
I rev it sky high every time I go under a bridge or through a tunnel to hear that lovely sound.
When alone on the road I wander back and forth in my lane like a race car driver cleaning his tires.
Or when I'm gunning it,  Ill humm 'Ride of the Valkyries' :)

i dont know if it's childish or just annoying  but i sing at the top of my not-inconsiderable lungs. i cant carry a tune in a bucket by the way.

I try not to put my feet down at traffic lights. I have gotten pretty good at this, i know its probably stupid but its a challenge and there's nothing wrong with improving your balance.....right?...... ;D

We used to do that at night, the sparks go for miles. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I do that, too. :)  It really helps with low-speed balance and maneuvering.

We used to get to where you just had to put your foot down, then let clutch out instead...if no one coming.

One day coming out of the park, there was a cop behind us, pulled us over 1/2 way up the next block.
Cop; What do you do when you get to a STOP sign?

 Me; Stop

 Cop; Well, Start............ :o

I had a buddy that used to ride his nice 72  750 on roads he was familiar with, with his feet on the signal lights...infact he could corner as fast as I could with his feet up there.. :o

I''l lay my 800lb'der much farther over in a corner than I need to.  Yanno, left turns, right turns n such.  One day I am gonna catch the curb, I just know it.

Edit: low speed u-turns I do the same thing.

wow and I thought I was bad  ;D

Things I go-
Put the bike in neutral and hit the kill switch 1/2 block from my driveway and see if I can coast the bike to its spot
Look at the burnside bridge as my person 1/2 mile long freeway
Portlanders- heading west on burnside at E12th ave- that right lane that dissapears after 1/2 block? Thats my ticket to the head of the line. The car always tries to race me... silly car...
Park in tight spots downtown.
going around roundabouts three of four times to see how fast I can take it.
twoold to give up
twotired to care..

I try to lean the bike while going straight all the time.
and I purposely drift out in the gravel patch leading to my house.... accident avoidance practice I guess.

me too.

oh, and there's a hump in the far right lane in town that you can catch air on, if you're doing 65 or so. (its 30 in town)
the thing is- that lane ends about 100 yards after the light.
everything I say is pure speculation and
I have no idea what I'm talking about  ._.

BackFiring.. oOOHHhhh YYEEAAAHHh

I was the MASTER, till i blew an inch chunk outa my headgasket.. >:( :o

I have had cats stalking a mouse, go 2 ft or more into the air & land running the other way.. ;D

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I a Wyoming & Montana sheepcountry try this..
Ya know sometimes there are like thousands of sheep.

Slowly press in your horn button, like just so it starts to make contact, but your thumb has to sorta float. Now get it so that the road vibration, makes the horn go on and off quite rapidly sorta like a buzzer, takes a few tries to get it working right. Bee--bbb-BAP--baaPP--Bapp....

Well Sheep being the models of intelligent beasts that they are, act like.. well Sheeple... and most will follow the crowd.. so when one starts to run, well they all got to.. ;D

Done right, you will get a wave of running sheep :o, like the parting of the seas, like opening "The WOOLEN ZIPPER', you might say... ;D  :o

Just remember, ya didnt hear it from me. ;)
