Topic: Brake Bleeder Caps

I don't know if this has been mentioned before or not but here goes. 

Can't find a rubber cap for your brake bleeder caps, try using a vaccum port cap or plug, they are used in cars/trucks and come in various sizes.  Check with your local auto parts store.  I use them on my bikes as I have no idea where you can get the originals.

They are cheap and come in packages of 5 or so , and you might have to buy a couple of different sizes to get the one you need.

Some tractor/farm stores often have the little plastic covers for grease fittings and they also work well for the brake bleeders. Sometimes they also are available in colors (I have red and black).

Funny how we are always on the chase.

One day at my company I notice the box of rubber covers where we store the covers for the SMA-SMC connectors.

Never had paid attention to it but that day it dawned on me how good a bleeder cap they would make.

and they indeed do.

1.  Go to the mall.
2.  Park in a congested area.
3.  Lay down at the rear wheel of a car with rear drum brakes.
4.  Take their bleeder cap.
5.  Wash, rinse, repeat according to the number of wheels your bike has.
6.  This also works for valve stem caps.
7.  If caught, say that you dropped your keys.  Keep them handy for proof.
8.  If you actually do this, you are a douchebag.
