 Hi
Jatsin here.,
I am new, thanks for all the welcome msgs.

I Got 2 cbs
one a 76 parts bike and one thats a 77. I made a halve way effort to get the most complete one running, I broke the kick starter, and shelved the project and later got the 76 as a parts bike, I have been trying to sell them as a set for a few months and lots of ppl want them and ask about them and make insane low offers on them, we I am done.... I Have been swimming in old grease and shop manuals for the last week 50hrs aprox and I am making good progress on having my CB running and riding soon. I wish I had never waited. I am having fun and my dad is an old drag racer from way back he has been soooooo much help I am learning alot and spending some fun time with my dad. I have used almost my whole first week of 2 I have off, here is what I got done.

The 77 bike now has the motor from the 76 on it, but I replaced all the covers withe the brushed ones from the 77 then the foot pegs bars came over after some flat black paint. put on the chrome megaphone and I think I got it all wired up right, the motor I took out of the 77 was in great shape on the inside but was missing the e starter all together and it had a broken case and the shaft to the kick starter was sheered off. so I have the extra parts if i need them. Still not heard this motor run Its pumping and the carbs are clean but the spark is just not there, I have a dayna ignition but I think it has failed and it needs replaced, then its tires bakes turn sig bulbs and I think that's it.

thanks for all the support and info you guys have been a great help, will be posting in the project sec soon.

That's how it all starts!

My dad had a 74 CL360, and as a kid just thought it was a motorcycle....then my uncle who passed away a while ago, had a 75 CB400F and a 72 CB350F, and gave them to my dad.

My dad doesn't know a lot about mechanics, but loves the old bikes, so he signed them over to me.

The 350F wasn't running at all with a cracked oil pan, now it's got drag bars, new seat cover, pod filters, and is running sweet!

As for the 400F, just rebuilt the entire engine because of a broken cam chain adjuster bolt, and repainted the engine, and tonight just got it timed, and now i'm about to head back out and sync the carbs.....But running very good!

Anyway, welcome!

Oh and forgot to add, that last week I just picked up a 73 CB350 twin for $200, sitting in a backyard for 8 years with vines growing over the tires.  Got it home tossed some fuel in it, threw a battery in it, and it magically started, pretty rough mind you, but rode it down the street and came back just before it ran out of fuel.  now the bike is down to the frame and forks, cleaning and rebuilding.

Pics soon to come!

It's addicting!

Great people on here!  Lots of knowledge, and willingness to help out!

I have only been on this forum for about 2 weeks and had so many questions answered that I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Good luck and hope it all goes good for you! And welcome aboard.
