Well my wife and daughters had hair appointments tonight so I figured that was the perfect excuse for a rip on the bike! All my usual riding buddies were busy so I decided to go for a solo trip to say hi to my brother and maybe talk him into going for a ride. He lives about 45 minutes north of me in a town called Cannington. Anyways had a great ride up there but when I got there he wasn't home (not overly surprised).
Anyways, I figured since it was Thursday I know of a place that has a bike night but I have never been there...it is called Haugens outside of a town called Port Perry. So I scooted over there and boy was I surprised! I was expecting the usual V-twin crowd of several dozen bikes but I was blown away by the turn out and variety! According to the announcer there was over 800 bikes there. That is only counting the official entrants there were also guys like me that just sorta parked in the sidelot. Bare in mind this is a weekly bike night and not in anyway a special event. There was everything from a 50CC scooter on up to several Boss Hosses!
Ofcourse I figured I would scour the grounds and see if there were any Honda SOHCs and I was pleasantly surprised to find a few. I only had my crappy BlackBerry phone/cam so the pics turned out horribly and they do not do the crowd or the bikes justice.
The K0 owner and I had a chat. A really nice guy named Ivan who bought the bike in exactly that condition for $750 10 years ago and he bought a new tank (NOS from Honda) a few weeks later for $270...not a bad investment at all!!! He hadn't heard of this site so I pointed him toward it maybe we;ll have a new member?!?! Also he is moving to France in less than a year and looking to sell off most of his bikes...too bad he knows the value of what he has! lol
There were a few nice Cafes there including the 750 with what I believe is a Tracy body..not chromed frame though so I know it wasn't Seaweb's

. Unfortunately none of the owners were around their bikes to bend their ears.
One of the guys on one of the Boss Hosses Almost dumped it in the parking lot when he decided to try to leave a patch behind! Definitely had a lot of stares at the bike but to me at best they are an exercise in excess and not the most rideable.
Anyways, I think I may just have to head back there next week and take a real camera with me! Any of my fellow GTA'ers get up there?
Dennis
edit - oh and the pic of the crowd was only the front parking lot...the VAST majority of the bikes park out in the field behind but there was no way with a cell phone I could get a pic that came close to capturing them all
