MudHoney! Saw these guys last night. they were cool enough to play at a tiny little icecream shop in South Seattle. Apparently the owner of the shop is friends with the bass player so they decided to hold a little party after hours. *Cool side note * 8) I was standing on the sidewalk with my dog (like I said a tiny shop) and Mark Arm walks by just before the show started and reaches down and pets her, says,"Nice dog".

Yep there's a youtube vid somewhere. I see them usually every year at the West Seattle Street and Music Fair. You should come down some year it's pretty cool. I saw Kurt Bloch (Young Fresh Fellows fame) and the Fastbacks last year. It was damn funny listening to all the younger crowd complaining about how loud and hard the music was! ;)

I always liked Sonic Youth, never did see them live. Kim Gordan was a hottie in her day. Not so much anymore 35 years is a long time for a rock queen. see below:

Also better days on stage in Seattle:

yeah.  that's a rough gig.

Funny, I had a YFF t-shirt that I wore almost every day in HS.
Either Todd or Kurt did it in stick figure form, similar to Scruffy the Cat cover art.

I can't ride and listen to music like some people can. I need my full attention to keep myself alive. But I like to put on a song right before I go out and just replay it in my head, haha.

Really like M83's "Unrecorded" and "Lower Your Eyelids to Die With the Sun" I like all kinds of music but love how M83 is epically calm. I like a good contemplative and sustainable long riding (or driving, ugh) song.

Also Fink's "Warm Shadows"

Not sure what's weirder, the fact that I know that movie really well or the fact that at the end Sandy and Danny get into a car AND FLY AWAY!
