DO IT! I've had a 550 (bored to 630) and an 1100 in that line (es) and wish I still did. Bulletproof, stable, comfortable. Loved em both.

BTW, if you find an s for a reasonable price would you let me know and not buy it yourself?  ;D

The 83 Suzuki GS750E was my first bike.  Bought it brand new in 83 and have had it since.  It isn't running right now but I can tell you it served me well for many years.  All-in-all a great bike. so much so I'm in the beginning stages of restoring it to its former glory.

well the one im looking at has about 16000 miles and he is asking $1400.
How does that sound?

Reasonable? Paid $1150 for the 1100 in 2000. Seen them going for 2000 - 3000 at this point. Seems right if it's in good shape. Maybe he'll come down a bit just because you know so many e and es owners?  ;D

Course Seattle is the land of $1000 non-running rusty late model CB whose owner KNOWS it's worth that much as well. Judgement call I suppose.

Wait a minute. 83suzkster has one post. He's not the owner of the machine you're buying is he?  :o :o ;D ;)

I had an 83 450E (the little brother) and loved it! The styling of the E bikes was great, and they weighed less/handled better than the other variations. Also had an 83 650L, which was a heavy pig. Both bikes were solid runners! I miss the 450 most!
