Most of You know the things that I have and AM dealing with, which seems like quite a load, right? Well, the load just got heavier. Took Dad out for lunch today (he's fine!), finished up, took him back to his apartment and came home to find some bills and such and see that they were taken care of. Right away, I heard a scratch at the door and I let Cocoa in. I tapped on the window to get Hershey to come in. I did this twice and finally went out in the back yard to find him, which usually isn't hard. He usually finds me 1st. Not this time. I walked around a small bldg to find Hershey dead! I had one of those things like a rake that you pull over the yard, to rake up the loose grass and such and, somehow, he had one of the tines stuck through his neck and he was dead! And already stiff! I just can't believe it! When I left this morning about 11:00AM, he was so full of life and pesky as ever! I'm starting to wonder, "What's Next?"

I'm just stunned and noe, I have to tell Karla on top of everything else. This is NOT gonna be good. :(

I am not usually one to holler conspiracy or anything, but that sounds way wrong. Someone who has a grudge did that on purpose. I am so sorry about it, and I hope Karla takes it better than you think. Maybe not tell her how you found the dog, soften it a bit, not lie of course, just omit.

Prayers and thoughts still with you Brother.

Oh Bill.  :'(

Oh yeah, That dog was SO energetic and pesky, but a "lovable" pesky. I mean, I would open the back door to let him in and, unless you turned around quickly, he would put both paws on your butt like he was patting it! ::) And then, he would stand up on his rear paws and wiggle, looking like a hula dancer! ::) Also, I could stand in the middle of our living room, with him on the couch and I would move to one side and he would jump from the couch to the chair and move to again would get him to jump back to the couch. We were really looking forward to many years of pleasure and companionship with both of those dogs. And now, we have one. I just can't believe it!

Jeff, I don't think there was anybody involved in this. You see, these 2 dogs were ALWAYS aggravating each other and SHE (the other on named Cocoa) would chase him ALL over the yard. I WILL promise you one thing, if I EVER find out that someone did do this, They better give their soul to God (and I think you know the rest).

                                 I am just so shocked!

Gee Bill, what a terrible time you've been going through.  I don't know what to say.

I hope (and believe) things will get better.  Hang in there.

I'm sorry Bill.  :'(

Lost my first (ever owned) horse last year. It's always a little heart wrenching to lose a pet.

first thing Bill, i am SO sorry to hear about this latest trial. i know how hard it is to lose a pet, theyre members of the family (i like my cats better than my family lol) youre starting to remind of of a line from the movie Roadie, in fact the last line where Travis W Redfish (played by meatloaf) says "why is my life so much harder than everybody elses?"
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

Folks, you just HAVE to hear the response I got from my Daughter.
I had called her worker and we were going to tell Karla, when she got home (while the worker was still here. Karla said (and I quote)

"My Mother wanted Hershey up there with her and I sure am glad that she left Cocoa down here with us Hershey WAS kinda the "Bouncing off of the walls" type and Cocoa is so sweet, loving and gentle.

Isn't that something? I am SO proud of her, I could just bust!

Oh God Bill, I just hope Hershey's pain was brief.  :'(   :'(

I have to say I think your daughter has a healthy attitude about this troubling time though, kudos to her.

Dunno what else to say but to try and not get bogged down; You will come out of this and carry on.

After all, there are tracker threads yet to be propagated and we need ever able body to get the good word of trackerdom out to the masses.

Hey Bill.  Yeah, I HAVE to say that Karla is really handling all this better than I am. I really AM proud of her and will try to keep an eye on her though (because she usually holds pretty well, for a period of time and then it's like it finally sinks in and is followed by anxiety problems for a little while. I've seen it before and it is always in the back of my mind.

I'm doing my best to keep on keeping on. I know that HE will not put more on you than you can handle, but it is starting to seem like he is testing me or something.

No worries about tossing in the comments about the tracker thread and all. ;) Soon as I can get the pc issues sorted out, it'll be us searching out more of those Trackers! 8)

Got a VERY close friend who is helping out with the pc problem and I am ETERNALLY grateful to him for that! ;)

                                   Take care Bill,  Bill ;)

Thanks Doug, every bit helps. Seems like things are kinda leveling out now. Hopefully, we can get to an easing of stress here soon. Doing ALL I can to get to that point.
