Different clutch/brake lever
« on: July 09, 2009, 06:46:36 AM »
Anyone put on different clutch/brake levers on their 750's? I have kinda small hands and the reach is a little bit more than I care for. Was wondering if there are levers that angle in towards the bars to make the reach not so great. If you found ones that work, can you point me in the direction where you found them?

I think I've seen dog-leg levers that fit the old lever bracket. Look around for em.
No.

I am cheap so I used old yamaha dog-leg lever for my clutch. It's too thick so I needed to file it.
Also the distance from the pivot to a hole where the cable end goes in is a bit longer than stock. I guess this gives a little less leverage. But otherwise, it works.

I also have a 12.7mm master cylinder (for Suzuki GS400 or something) which comes with dog-leg lever.

Seems Flanders makes Dogleg levers that fit a CB750:  in silver, #402-19101 for the left (clutch), #402-10102 for the right (brake). In black, they only have #402-19201 for the left (clutch), and nothing's available in chrome, carbon, or the colour combinations. They also stock direct OEM replacements if that's your fancy.

I'm going to pick up a set of the doglegs in silver. Even though my hands are normal sized, I find the extra reach distance slows down my reaction time enough to concern me. I'll post photos here once they work their way to Canada and I put 'em on the bike.
