Can CB900F carbs be made to fit on SOHC K?
« on: July 11, 2009, 08:50:26 AM »
Found I had a set of these and were going to sell them then I started thinking about my cafe project.......and whether they could be made to fit.

Anyone have any experience with this kind of project....I think they are same as DOHC 750 carbs.

Thanks
Steve

Can be a difficult task but doable.

One thing you'll need to follow is the spacing of the SOHC you are working with. That would be from center to center of each carburetor. Sometimes, although not too often, you can just simply unbolt the spacing supports and bolt the new carbs on.

Pictures would help me go into detail on your exact carbs and whether or not they are doable.

Sometimes shaft length prohibits spacing changes as well as physical linkage for things such as butterflies and choke panels.

Most of the time t-hoses and fittings can be cut to length.

One thing to never consider is that transferring carbs out will be and easy task.
