Just introducing my self
« on: May 19, 2006, 02:52:51 PM »
Hi all. Been reading here off and on for a bit. I have decided to join ya all here.
I live in the Fresno calif area. I own a good old beat 1977 Honda cb750 k. got the bike running at a steal and have been riding it now for almost ten years. It has a bit over 56,000 on the clock
I use this ride for fun and to do my running around. It has a windshield, trunk and hard bags, do not do the curvy riding thing in race style but more two up tour riding. The Bike dose have an old beat up kerker on it but other wise mechanically it is a very stock bike.
I have owned a 1969? Suzuki 200cc twin, a 1976 titan 500cc twin and a 1976 Kawasaki 400cc triple but the 750 as you see is my first 4 stroke and well I love it

Later on I will do all the house keeping things you have asked but that will be later

 About me
I am disabled and do not work. Dang diseases any way. I tend to ride any were between 2,000 to 5,000 miles a year and trying to do more as the body lets us. Also stinks growing old. I rode with the CMA for a time and enjoyed the rides very much. On one of the rides I did have a bit of fun. The bike did a little spooky thing to me in a corner no less. It just shut down all power. :o I then found out yes you can ride a cb750 like a dirt bike!  sliding sideways ;)  with your foot down, kicking up dust like mad  tell you come to a full stop. Then when stopped and every one is watching that’s when you fall over on your side nice and slow. It did give them a good show that day  ;)

so any thing other ya want to know about this old redneck just ask and so now off I go a searching for more info then I thought I ever needed to own a bike LOL and that would be a thanks for that to all of yours.

Welcome to the board.

Does that CB still move under it's own power with all that stuff on it ?

Just kidding - great looking bike...

Thanks all. The pics do it better then in person LOL and your all just to kind lying threw your teeth that way. Yes it moves well under all the junk. Let me tell you a few weep holes in the trunk bottom and then add some ice you got a rolling ice chest to top it off.
The bike is going to get painted again in a bout a year may go flat black. The red paint when I got it had warts like a toad and chipped all over. They used a gold paint for primmer and will it did not work to well.
Again thanks all and looking forward to picking your minds for things

Alas, no, I didn't build it, but I put it into the shape it is in now. If you could have seen it when I got it you would cry. I bought the bike the day it came out in the cycle trader a bit over a year and a half ago for $1400. Since then, I've put at least that much into it and still more to come. When you come to the Meet and Greet I'll tell you all about it.

Huntman, I'll bet everyone in this forum got better prices than I did for Rita. I just didn't care too much about the money, as soon as I saw Rita, she whispered to me out of those straight pipes as she idled that she was my bike now. She knew that together we would get her back to the glory she once was and has been a labor of love ever since. I'll gladly pay ten times as much to get her just the way we want her to be. Shucks, just rechroming the front end is gonna cost me as much as I bought her for. And yes, She definitly has one heck of a personality so I have no trouble at all anthropomorphising a motorcycle. ;D ;D

Well I have been called that more then once also LOL

dusthawk you may be right on the price but I well tell you I go this one to also make a chop out of it then divorce end of chop story. I did not want to cut this frame at all but get a new one to build on pretty much just wanted to do the frame forks and oil bag rest stoke for the most part . Now I want a big tire also and a lot lower funny how things change. That’s why I love this kind of bike you can make it what ever you want your dream to be.

Now if those tires would get here I could get off the board and on the bike and ride some
