What's wrong with Candy Gold? My Candy Gold K1 kicks ass! Too bad that this is a K4 and not a K1 or earlier. That is the real shame...

Yah, I love the gold and the orange... ;D.  Actually, this bike color is to dark for my taste.  I have seen this bike on here before and I think the reserve was not met.  I believe it was like 6 - 8 months ago.  It will be fun to watch...

Looks like a really sweet bike with small minute details that are correct.  Maybe he is a VJMC judge, heck the price reflects it.  No way I'd buy this bike and ride it.  How is it possible that the original tires are on it and haven't cracked?  Heck the Dunlops on my 550 aren't a year old and have cracks.

Keep it out of the sun
 cool dark room
 on centrestand
blockup oil filter so front wheel is off ground

then your tires should last, but depends a bit on air quality too.

Like a harmonically sealed garage with AC and heat.  I think most of the bikes on eBay are in those garages... ;D  But this does look real nice.

Did you guys see the 2 1982 CBXs that have been on EBay the past 2 weeks? 1 mile located in Indiana. Asked $12,500 and took $11,000 and 486 miles that was listed twice that got up to $8,100 first time then $6,000+ the second but never sold. Located in Arkansas.

How about the 2004 RC51 with 1 mile? Starting at $9,999 but didn't sell.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

This is even more spectacular than the CBX's - 1990 RC30, 275 miles, at 30K and climbing, and it hasn't met the reserve!!!

I have a great RC30 story that I better not share as it could, to this day, get me in a load of trouble...  I'll just say the HRC race bikes were incredibly fast, especially when they aren't yours!

I would NOT pay anywhere near $7000+ for a polished repainted K4!! And a purple one as well...probably the least desirable of all the colours. Waaaay too much money for this bike. Yes its nice, yes its shiny...but its a repainted K4!! If someone gave it to me Id ride it every day - what a shame to have a bike for 35 years and never ride it!! This means its NOT a motorcycle at all but a garage queen, an ornament....a waste of money   ;) ;D

Good luck to whoever buys it. Ill take my trusty faded orange high-mileage K4 any day over this....

And comments like this sound a bit fishy to me....

"The bike has received countless oil changes, although by the mileage it would only require one. " -why have countless oil changes?

cheers
Andy

I have to agree on the color. Not my favorite. If he had it repainted, I would have gone with one of the other colors like my orange.  Another K4 that had only 497 original miles and was 100% original...nothing replaced or repainted and in showroom condition went for 11,200 + shipping to germany to live in a museum. Today a frame off resto with all NOS parts will bring a minimum of $9k. I will bet that he gets at least $9 - $10K for it. I still ride mine on nice days and I would put mine up against it for a side by side judgement anyday. The only place I lose is the lack of yellow paint on the bolt heads. It will be interesting to watch though.
