I have had 2 frames straightened. Both times by someone who has a cadge that holds the frame in place while pressure is applied/  It's not cheep. Both frames were just a bit tweaked or I would never have gone through the process. $500.00 each.

I don't know if I'm just the second voice of reason here, but WTF.
Cut, chop, weld. Maybe I just like my stuff to run straight, safe and legal ::)

From what you described in your 1st post.....the frame is #$%**d !

Just stop and take a DEEP BREATH. I get that your keen, but go get another legit frame from a scrap yard and go at it with a fresh outlook.

I agree, I'm not going to straighten the '78 frame.  I have decided to just try to title the '76, if it falls through I'll find a different one to use I guess.  Straight, safe, and legal sound best to me as well... haha So now its just a waiting game :(  I wish the DMV wasn't so slow.....

Be sure to offer that titled but bent frame up for sale, maybe you'll get a few bucks for it.  Just be sure that the buyer knows what they're getting, maybe post it on some of the chopper boards...

Did they have robot welders in 76?.. probably, and Honda would have been one of the first to have them.

Frames are usually straightened, either in a cage type setup, looks a bit like a bike crate with no sides but heavier construction. or on a farme table, a big ground plate with lots of tapped holes. They bolt it up on its side and level it, then pull, push and prod, till its within specs..
