Reducing attachment size

Hi Guys
I am new at this so please forgive me.
I would like to attach some pics of my bike, but the file size is to big, how do i reduce the file size?
I am sorry if it sounds like a dumb question.

Host the file at one of the freebie sites, and put the links into your post.

As an alternative to hosting the pictures at a different site you can resize the actual picture using mspaint. Or if you want to do some serious image editing download The Gimp.

At "My pictures" right click on the photo of choice, a pop up menu will appear, click on "Resize pictures", choose "small", click "OK" and its done.
